Venice

The best word to describe Venice is surreal. Walking around the grand canal and crossing little bridges to get from street to street gives the city a unique feel. We didn't spend much time in Venice but we took a boat taxi down the grand canal, walked around the windy streets, shopped at the market, took a gondola ride, and listened to music in St. Mark's Square. We had a great time and wished we could have stayed longer.

Love Mom and Dad!

Lots of tiny winding streets. It was like a maze walking on foot. The only direct route was taking the canal. Wish we had our own boat.

Gondola ride.

St. Mark's Square. I could have stayed here all night listening to the battling orchestras. (In front of about 3 restaurants in the square there are platforms where small orchestras play live music at night)
